Family ends home search at Aliante

Charles and Doris Kennedy and their son, Charles Jr., found their perfect home in the Aliante master-planned community.

The Kennedys, 13-year residents of Southern Nevada, had casually looked at new homes and neighborhoods in the valley for about two years before finding the community in North Las Vegas.

"Charles and I like to stay aware of new trends in housing and we enjoy touring new model homes," Doris Kennedy said. "When we first visited Aliante, we were not only impressed by the homes, but also by the entire design of this community. It's going to be wonderful to have so many benefits close to home, such as the golf course, the trail system, the park and waterfalls, and all of the other opportunities for recreation."

The Kennedys found a home in D.R. Horton's Manor neighborhood.

"In the course of looking at so many new neighborhoods, we became familiar with D.R. Horton's reputation for quality," Charles Kennedy said. "We chose the Manor at Aliante for several reasons including the spacious feel of the homes and the all-single-story design of the neighborhood."

Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. It features primary and age-qualified villages, and covers 1,900 acres.

About 428 acres are designated for recreational and public purposes including an 18-hole municipal golf course, three city parks, more than 20 miles of lighted concrete trails and linear parks, and an arroyo.

Builders in the primary village are D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes. Del Webb is building the age-qualified Sun City Aliante.

An information center is located at Interstate 215 and Aliante Parkway. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go south to the primary village or north to Sun City Aliante.
