Value of Del Webb's Solera touted

As real estate professionals, Barry Goodman and Jacquie DuToit said they recognized the value of buying in a new Del Webb community.

"Real estate is a proven investment strategy," Goodman said. "Buying now is a tremendous opportunity."

The two recently purchased a home at Solera at Anthem, the builder's new age-qualified community in Henderson.

"When we were looking for an investment, we both felt that Anthem, with its proven track record, is the best dollar-for-dollar value in the valley," Goodman said.

Models at the community have yet to open.

"Our official grand opening festivities will be July 5 and 6. But, prospective buyers may visit the model village now when accompanied by a sales associate," sales manager R. Wayne Wermuth said.

Located within the Anthem master-planned community, Solera will have 1,750 homes upon buildout.

Four floor plans ranging from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet are offered. Homes are priced from the mid-$170,000s to the $220,000s.

Goodman and DuToit purchased a Lewis design, which features two bedrooms, two baths and a great room.

All homes in the community will have energy-saving features such as integrated wiring, low-e windows, a cocoon insulation system, and heating and cooling sealants that exceed Energy Star requirements established by the Environmental Protection Agency.

"One of the best advantages at this community is the number of included items," Goodman said.

"The covered patio, Corian counter tops, raised-panel kitchen cabinets, and energy-conservation devices are features that would be charged as upgrades at (some) other communities."

Amenities will include a fitness center, swimming pool, club and hobby rooms, billiard tables, tennis and bocce courts, and computer and craft rooms.

To visit the temporary sales office, take Eastern Avenue south to Anthem Parkway, turn left and proceed to 2246 Somersworth Drive, which is across from a fire station.

It is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
