Pardee opens models at Tamarack

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Tamarack, the final neighborhood to be developed within Rancho Las Palmas, celebrates its grand opening this weekend.

"Families have their last chance to choose from well-priced homes in the popular community of Rancho Las Palmas, located in the heart of the fast-growing area of southeast Las Vegas," said Ray Landry, sales executive for Pardee Homes of Nevada. "As the 13th neighborhood, Tamarack will complete the Rancho Las Palmas development started by Pardee in 1986."

The celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

At buildout, the 588-acre community will feature about 3,200 homes behind a monument entry, which is complemented by an elementary school, a park, shopping center and landscaped parkways.

Tamarack offers five floor plans, which are priced from the high $180,000s.

All homes feature the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label for exceeding national energy-efficiency standards by at least 30 percent.

The single-story Plan One can be built to measure 1,431 or 1,597 square feet. It provides three bedrooms, two baths and an island kitchen. A two-car garage is standard. In its larger form, the home offers a fourth bedroom or den.

Also a single-story design, Plan Two provides 1,555 to 1,688 square feet with three bedrooms and two baths. Options include a fourth bedroom or den in addition to a master suite in place of the second bedroom. A two-car garage is included.

Plan Three, a two-story home, measures 2,046 to 2,442 square feet with four bedrooms, or three bedrooms and an optional den, and three baths. The larger design includes a bonus room. A two-car garage is also featured.

Plan Four measures from 2,241 to 2,503 square feet in a two-story design. It can be built with three to five bedrooms, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths, a studio and a loft. It has a three-car tandem garage.

Featured in Plan Five is an upstairs laundry room and linen closet, plus loft and bonus room options. At 2,229 to 2,892 square feet, the home offers three to five bedrooms, three baths and an optional bedroom downstairs.

Kitchens contain ceramic-tile counter tops, maple cabinetry interiors, islands (per plan) and appliance packages.

Exterior stone veneer, master-suite decks, home office packages and central vacuum systems are optional.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Windmill Lane, go west to Bermuda Road, proceed past Pebble Road and follow the signs. Office hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday.
