Aliante's plan delights buyers
When Catherine and Patrick Jones were ready to purchase their first home in Southern Nevada, they didn't look far. Catherine Jones said a friend brought her information about the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas and it seemed like an ideal place to live. "We were very impressed by the homes and the overall look of the community," she said, adding that they visited the information center where they learned about completed and planned amenities. "What we like about the master-plan concept is the fact that shopping and so many other conveniences are close to home," Jones said. "You don't have to leave your community for the things you need on a daily basis. In fact, you could come home at the end of the week and not have to leave your community for the entire weekend, if you didn't want to. Patrick and I both have busy schedules, so it's nice to have everything so close to home." She said they also liked the outdoor amenities including Nature Discovery Park, the walking trails and open areas. The couple bought a single-story Plan 1520 design at Pulte Homes' now sold-out Vialetto neighborhood. "We were drawn to Pulte because of its excellent reputation and the fact that they made us feel very relaxed as home buyers. They made us feel at home from the first time we walked into the sales office," Jones said. "The Plan 1520 was our favorite, because it offers the convenience of single-story living, combined with a very spacious and open floor plan. "We know we're going to enjoy living here for many years to come," she added. The 1,905-acre community will have all-age and age-qualified villages with as many as 7,500 homes. In addition to Pulte, builders in the all-age village are Del Webb Corp., D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes, and Perma-Bilt Homes. Del Webb also is developing the age-qualified Sun City Aliante. Homes are priced from the low $200,000s to the $700,000s. Nearly one-fourth of the community is designated for recreational and public purposes including the municipal Aliante Golf Club, parks, trails and an arroyo. Plans also call for three schools and about 100 acres of commercial development including retail and business centers and a 40-acre resort with gaming. Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb. The information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go south.
