Anthem Country Club members celebrate Father's Day

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Anthem Country Club's Chef Parker Lee is celebrating Father's Day today by preparing dinner for more than 100 club members and their guests. The menu: grilled swordfish and New York steak.

"Our family events are very popular with members. They truly showcase what Anthem Country Club is all about -- members of all ages, coming together," Lee said.

The clubhouse hosts a variety of member events during the summer, such as kids' camps, poolside barbecues and wine maker's dinners.

Anthem Country Club is part of Del Webb's 5,000-acre Anthem master-planned community in Henderson. Equity membership is included with each home purchase at the country club, and provides access to the clubhouse and athletic club. Equity and executive (nonresident) golf memberships are also available for purchase separately.

PGA golfer Hale Irwin and golf course architect Keith Foster designed the 7,300-yard, par-72 championship golf course to be challenging for all levels of play.

The athletic club provides exercise equipment, a full-service salon and spa, tennis courts, a resort-style pool, sand volleyball court, a child-care facility, aerobics classes and personal trainers.

Four series of homes and 20 floor plans are available, priced from the $190,000s to more than $1 million.

Custom-home sites are priced from $150,000 to more than $1 million, and offer views of the city, mountains or golf course. To offer further exclusivity, each custom neighborhood has a gated entry within the guard-gated community.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue about three miles south of St. Rose Parkway. The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
