Couple marks anniversary with purchase of Rolladens
Mike and Carmen Henle could not be happier with their purchase of Rolladen Rolling Shutters. They had them installed on their two-story, 3,800-square-foot home in the southwestern valley. "We celebrated our 29th anniversary by getting the shutters," Mike Henle said. "It was a long time coming, but we now know firsthand how nice it is to have them. Once they were installed and lowered, the temperatures upstairs declined several degrees in only 10 minutes. "Prior to having the Rolladens installed, we simply couldn't get the upstairs cooled down without the air conditioner having to work for an extended period of time." The shutters were installed on two upstairs bedrooms, a family room, living room and an office, each of which faces west. "Our kids had complained, and for good reason, because their rooms were simply too warm," Henle said. "With the shutters down, they've noticed big relief. The air conditioning will still go on, but the units stay on for a much shorter period of time because the shutters now stabilize the temperatures inside." Carmen Henle is equally delighted. "I love the shutters," she said. "I just wish we had gotten them sooner." The shutters are comprised of roll-filled aluminum slats and are custom-made for homes and businesses. Rolladen removes iron bars and solar screens free of charge, and is currently offering $50 off for each west-facing window, according to franchise owner, Fran Minnozzi. The showroom is located at 6168 W. Charleston Blvd., just west of Jones Boulevard. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday.
