Street of Dreams housing show ends today

Today is the final day for the Street of Dreams housing and lifestyle event at the MacDonald Highlands community in Henderson.

According to representatives of Street of Dreams Inc., the six-week event has drawn upwards of 50,000 visitors to the four featured custom homes.

Visitors have had the opportunity to view upscale amenities and to speak to housing and design professionals about the latest trends in home design, comfort and entertainment.

Priced from $1.995 million to $3.75 million (excluding furnishings and artwork), the homes range from 5,408 to 8,251 square feet. They are the largest and most expensive in the show's 17-year history.

The elevated topography of MacDonald Highlands enabled the builders to present homes with views of the Las Vegas Valley.

The participating builders (and respective design firms) are: GJM Development (Joy Bell design associates): 5 Star Development/Hi-Con, Inc. (Designers Touch); Job Construction LLC (Sydni Jay Associates -- Designers); and Sun West Custom Homes (Karen Butera, Inc.).

The show is open today from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with ticket sales ending at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults; $8 for senior citizens and children ages 4 to 12; and free for younger children.

To attend, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive then go south to Horizon Ridge Parkway and the parking lot, which is at the northwest corner.

Street of Dreams Inc. is a Seattle-based international promotions company whose sole business is producing luxury home tours.
