Monterossa home sales add upSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Interest in Toll Bros.' Monterossa neighborhood in Summerlin was evident long before the models opened. Since last October, half of the 121 home sites have been sold. The models opened last month. "The draw to Monterossa has been the combination of Toll Bros.' outstanding reputation in the home building industry and the incredible location of Monterossa," said Gary Mayo, vice president of the builder's Las Vegas division. "Plus, there's the availability of four spacious floor plans that offer a multitude of desirable features from courtyards to gourmet kitchens." Two days before the start of sales, 10 home buyers camped at the site to claim their lots. They slept in their vehicles and passed the time in lawn chairs, visiting with potential neighbors. Denette O'Keefe was among the campers. "I always loved the curb appeal of Toll Bros.' homes," O'Keefe said. "So, when I heard Toll Bros. was building in The Vistas, I knew Monterossa was where I would buy my home. I never imagined myself camping out for a home, but I had found the home site of my dreams and I had my heart set on it. It was definitely worth the wait." The gated neighborhood is located within The Vistas village. "The Vistas is one of the most western and highest points in Summerlin," Mayo said. "The views from Monterossa are spectacular with the mountains to one side and the lights of the Las Vegas Strip on the other." Buyers can choose from the single-story Vasari plan and the two-story Bellini, Trapani and Botticelli plans. They measure from 2,120 to 3,100 square feet and are priced from the high $200,000s. Features include grand entries and courtyards, as well as optional casitas (per plan). A private park for residents is planned, as is a paseo park with gazebo. "As one of the nation's leading builders of luxury homes, Toll Bros. has earned an enviable reputation based on a solid financial history and unprecedented customer satisfaction and quality," Mayo said. To tour the models, take Interstate 215 to Far Hills Avenue, head west to Carriage Hill Drive and turn left. Proceed to Park Vista Drive and turn left. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
