Pardee reports strong visitor volume at Vista Verde



Traffic has averaged as many as 750 visitors a week, including 2,500 the first weekend, since Pardee Homes opened the Aliso and Ventana neighborhoods in the Vista Verde community, located in northwest Las Vegas, according to sales executive Rob Tuvell.

"All homes in the first two phases of both neighborhoods have already been sold," Tuvell said.

The community is a showcase for the company's LivingSmart program, which includes environmentally sensitive features and options. In addition to water-efficient landscaping, home buyers can choose from special options and features, which include solar electricity, fluorescent lighting, tankless water heaters, low VOC paint and central vacuum systems.

Plans for the community call for as many as 900 homes.

Aliso offers four models with as many as five bedrooms and three baths in plans measuring as large as 2,566 square feet. Designs include great room layouts, island kitchens, and options for lofts and bay windows.

Prices start from $171,950 to $211,950.

Four one- and two-story plans at Ventana feature as many as six bedrooms in as much as 4,030 square feet. The single-story plans offer courtyard entries and optional sunrooms. Floor plan variations include game rooms, teen rooms and workshops.

Prices start from $253,950 to $292,950.

The new homes include Energy Star-certified technology that is standard and is independently certified to be at least 30 percent more energy efficient than federal standards require.

Built around a desert demonstration garden, the model homes also feature xeriscape water-saving designs, including artificial turf.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Durango Drive, go west to Oso Blanca Road and turn right. Turn left onto Severance Lane, then follow the signs. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
