Pulte Homes inspires employee
John Long said he was so inspired by Pulte Homes' business practices while working in the real estate and construction fields that he made it a goal to work for the builder. "I've lived in Las Vegas for the last 15 years, and in my previous jobs I was always very impressed with Pulte Homes' communities. I just knew I wanted to work for the company one day." Two years and two homes later, Long, a sales agent, has acquired more reasons to solidify his choice to live and work in the builder's neighborhoods. "My first Pulte home was in Gresham Park. When it was time to upgrade, I knew I wanted to live in the 2584 plan because I've sold this floor plan in three different communities," he said. He recently moved into the design at Miramonte in The Vistas village in Summerlin. The home offers three bedrooms, two baths, a den, and family room. Fourth and fifth bedrooms, a game room and third bath are optional. The neighborhood offers single-story designs ranging from 2,584 to 2,720 square feet and priced from the mid-$680,000s. Amenities include raised-panel cabinets with crown molding, Corian kitchen counter tops, structured wiring, and a fireplace. Only a few homes remain; information is available at the builder's Palomar sales office. Long works at the Wyeth Ranch neighborhood in the northwestern valley. It offers homes ranging from 2,616 to 3,816 square feet, and priced from the low $600,000s. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his 6-year old daughter, Lauren, and his girlfriend, Vanessa Vanegas, in addition to working out at a gym, mountain biking and golfing. All of the builder's homes exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star requirements. They also utilize the Environments for Living building technology which offers a three-year heating and cooling energy-use and comfort guarantee. Select communities offer 2X6 construction on exterior livable walls. To visit Palomar, take Interstate 215 to Charleston Boulevard and go west. Take the second right onto Desert Foothills Drive (There is no street sign at the intersection). Turn left onto Desert Sunrise Road, then left again on Pluma Verde Lane and then right on Montura Rosa Place. To visit Wyeth Ranch, take U.S. Highway 95 north to the Interstate 215 east exit, head east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Proceed to Tenaya Way, turn left and follow the signs to Elkhorn Road. Sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.
