Lamplight Square hosts grand opening

Carina Corp.'s newest neighborhood, Lamplight Square, will hold grand opening festivities today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the southeastern valley.

"Visitors will experience firsthand how Lamplight Square is delightfully reminiscent of small-town America," general manager Rick McCarty said. "Its charm is illuminated throughout the community, from the trademark gas lamps and lush landscaping to beautiful courtyard homes with large front porches."

In addition to visiting the neighborhood's three model homes, visitors may enter to win a barbecue grill, a golf and spa getaway package, discount coupons to a Strip attraction, and a framed Thomas Kinkade print.

The two-story floor plans range from 1,509 to 1,735 square feet and are priced from $146,990 to $157,990.

McCarty said the homes include an electrical package with prewiring for ceiling fans in the family rooms and bedrooms, telephone and cable prewiring in bedrooms, Category 5 wiring, and backyard floodlights. Granite counter tops are also featured.

The builder also will arrange for electricity, telephone, water and natural gas service hookups for buyers.

Neighborhood amenities include gas lamps along tree-lined streets, a park, swimming pool and brick pavers integrated in a common courtyard.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue and go south. At Silverado Ranch Boulevard head west to Maryland Parkway, then go south to Pyle Avenue, following the signs. Model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Wednesday, when they open at 1 p.m.
