Superintendent `sold' on Pardee

Carlos and Janet Zuluaga were so impressed with the quality of their home that when their family started to grow, they decided to buy another Pardee-built home.

For five years, the couple resided in the Solana neighborhood in the builder's Eldorado master-planned community in North Las Vegas. When it was time to relocate, they again chose Eldorado.

"We love this area, and especially now that everything is coming to us like shopping, schools and parks," Carlos Zuluaga said.

As construction superintendent at Pardee's Manzanita neighborhood in the Nevada Trails community set to open next month, Zuluaga is familiar with the builder's product. Recently, his family bought a home at Fontana within Eldorado Highlands. They have two children, Alyssa, 1 1/2, and 11-year-old Siarra.

Fontana offers one- and two-story floor plans, ranging from 1,825 to 2,710 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Prices start from the mid-$130,000s.

Zuluaga has also recommended Eldorado to his friends and family. His sister-in-law bought a home in Fontana, his sister lives in Bandera, and his parents reside in Valencia.

Adjacent to Fontana is Talavera, where four single- and two-story floor plans are priced from $126,450 to $163,450. Homes range from 1,380 to 2,296 square feet with three to five bedrooms.

Eldorado will eventually comprise about 5,000 homes and 20,000 residents.

To visit, take Craig Road to Camino al Norte then go north into the community. Models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.
