Sun City Anthem provides home for roving couple

Paul and Tony Shultz, owners of a local appliance repair business, have changed residences frequently over the years, but finally settled down at Del Webb Corp.'s Sun City Anthem in Henderson.

"Normally, I like to move every five years, but not this time," Tony Shultz, a recent Sun City Anthem home buyer, said. "We've found a home. My husband Paul is in love with this place."

The couple converted the den of their Cambridge model into a home office.

"We just love it here," Tony Schultz said. "We have a huge master bedroom suite, great room, a big kitchen with a bay window on a corner lot with a pool and spa."

The Shultzes also introduced the community to her sister and brother-in-law when they came to visit, and they also bought a home in Sun City Anthem for their retirement in the future.

The couple formerly resided in Kona, Hawaii, and Tony Shultz said the Del Webb neighborhood is just like the Hawaiian village she lived in for 10 years.

The Shultzes joined the Tennis Club, one of the activities available at the 75,000-square-foot Anthem Center, which offers fitness, social and recreational opportunities for residents as well as Trumpets Restaurant and Lounge, which is open to the public.

The community offers 17 models, ranging from 1,080 to 3,009 square feet and more through the community's Gold Key program. Homes are priced from the high $130,000s to more than $500,000.

To visit the model village, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway. Models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
