Parks, open space enhance recreation in Seven Hills

With about one-third of its acreage dedicated to open areas and four city parks, Seven Hills offers a perfect place for youngsters to enjoy sports and other outdoor activities, according to representatives for developer Silver Canyon Partnership.

The parks feature amenities such as basketball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, volleyball courts and playgrounds. Each park is designed to complement the surrounding desert terrain.

Other outdoor areas include tree-lined walking trails, shaded rest areas, fountains, covered picnic areas and pavilions. Most of the community's neighborhoods interconnect with parks and walkways.

The 1,300-acre community, which is located in the foothills of Black Mountain in Henderson, will comprise more than 3,000 homes in 25 neighborhoods, including about 300 custom homes.

Houses are priced from the low $200,000s. Custom lots are priced from the $200,000s to more than $1 million. City, golf course and mountain views are offered.

Neighborhoods open for sales are: Renaissance by Pardee Homes, Palazzo Monte by US Home, Meridiana by Trident Homes, Encore at Palatine Hill by Richmond American Homes, and Villa Villagio by Astoria Homes. Custom-home sites are available in the neighborhoods of Venezia and Terracina by Silver Canyon Partnership, and Corcovado and Portofino Custom Home- sites by Nevastar Investment Corp.

The community's sales and information pavilion is located on Seven Hills Drive, which is about three-quarters of a mile west of the Eastern Avenue and St. Rose Parkway intersection.

The center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
