Entertainer sets roots at Sterling Court

For about six or seven months, Frank Golovko spent all his spare time searching Las Vegas for the right home. His search paid off when he found the Summer plan at Sterling Court by Richmond American Homes.

"Once I decided to see what might be available in the new-home market, it didn't take long to find the home I wanted to buy," Golovko said.

A singer/entertainer at a Strip resort, Golovko was eager to put down roots in Las Vegas.

"I wasn't very particular about which part of town I wanted to live in, really. I just knew the type of house and the features I was looking for and I wanted it quickly. If I had known I could have avoided months of frustration -- and still found the right home that was ready to move right into -- by going to a Richmond American community, I would have done it much sooner," he said.

The floor plan he sought was ready for move-in when he visited the neighborhood.

"When I looked at the home that was immediately available, I was very happy with the options and things that had already been selected. And ... we were able to put the whole (financing) package together very quickly, which is what I was looking to do," he said.

Homes at the neighborhood are built in a courtyard design, which allows for low-maintenance landscaping. Floor plans range from 1,357 to 1,933 square feet. Prices start in the $150,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Jones Boulevard and head south, past Robindale Road, and follow the signs.

The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Monday and Friday, when it opens at noon.
