Silverstone amenities extolled

Newlyweds Al and Kathy Martinez eagerly await the time when they can move into their new home at Pulte's Silverstone Ranch, a golf course community in the northwestern valley.

"Al and I both owned our own custom homes prior to getting married. But we decided that once we were married, we wanted to purchase something together and make it ours," Kathy Martinez said.

They said the builder's reputation made selecting their new home easier.

"We were very impressed with the models we toured and felt that Pulte would give us the best product for our money," she said. "Pulte includes a tremendous amount of upgrades in their homes, which you don't find with many other builders. In addition, we liked the `semicustom' feel that their homes offered."

They said they also liked the community's golf course lifestyle.

"Another draw for us was the golf club lifestyle that Silverstone Ranch offers. I am an avid golfer, and Kathy also enjoys the beautiful golf course location," Al Martinez said.

The Martinezes chose the 3064 plan from The Princeville Collection. The home features a courtyard, circular entry, living room, family room, and kitchen with a nook. Master suite highlights include a bath with a walk-in closet, garden tub and separate shower. A two-car garage is standard. Options include dens, fourth and fifth bedrooms, and a three-car garage.

Their home is scheduled for completion in September.

Twenty designs are available, most of which are represented with models. Homes are priced from the low $200,000s to more than $500,000.

Each home features the builder's Platinum Plus Series Environments for Living building technology. In addition to being recognized as Energy Star homes by the Environmental Protection Agency, the houses offer a three-year heating and cooling guarantee.

The community is built around Silverstone Golf Club, a 27-hole championship golf course. A 34,000-square-foot clubhouse offers dining and banquet opportunities.

Residents receive preferred rights to the golf club; memberships also are available.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Durango Drive, head east to Grand Teton Drive and turn right. Proceed to Buffalo Drive, turn left and follow the signs. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at noon.
