GRAND OPENING: KB Home introduces Villas at WindmillSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
KB Home hosts a grand opening today for Villas at Windmill, a neighborhood in the southwestern valley. Three models will be open for tours. "It's getting harder and harder to find homes in our price range in the southwest corridor," sales agent Liz Baida said. "Villas at Windmill offers competitive prices, quality homes and an attractive community with architecturally enhanced exteriors and professionally landscaped and maintained front yards." The Naruchitparame family purchased a three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath Monaco floor plan at the neighborhood about a month ago. "We love the design. It fits our family's needs exactly," Jay Naruchitparame said, who will move into the home with his wife and two children. The two-story homes sit on lots that are wider and shallower than typical home sites, according to the sales staff. "We like that we have a smaller yard," Naruchitparame said. "We think it's a great way to conserve water. There's a perfect amount of space for barbecuing and that's all we need. If we want more space we can visit a park." The family opted for low-e glass throughout the home, which helps to conserve energy. The neighborhood offers seven floor plans ranging from 1,532 to 1,891 square feet. The two-story homes include three or four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages. Prices start in the $170,000s. Features include side-yard patios, breakfast nooks and walk-in master closets. Among available options are front porches, breakfast bars and island workstations in kitchens. To visit, take Interstate 15 to Interstate 215, go west to Jones Boulevard, then drive south. The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Friday when it is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The same floor plans are available at the builder's Villas at Tropicana in the southeastern valley. Another neighborhood that is planned, Villas at Blue Diamond, is expected to offer the same designs as well. KB Home offers one-stop shopping at its KB Home Studio, where buyers can choose a home from any of the builder's more than 20 neighborhoods. The facility is located at 7440 Industrial Road, Suite 201, south of Warm Springs Road. The builder also has a service for potential home buyers to receive free consultation including credit reports, a review of finances and credit counseling. There is also an in-house mortgage company. KB Home is one of the nation's largest home builders with domestic operating divisions in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and Florida. The company is also one of the largest home builders in France.
