C2 Lofts endorsed by future resident

Lifestyle concept, 'futuristic' design cited

Like many buyers at C2 Lofts, Chris Montana was attracted by the concept of a loft lifestyle in Summerlin.

"I heard about C2 Lofts at Summerlin, and when I took a close look at what they are creating, I became very interested," he said. "I felt that C2 Lofts was futuristic, unlike anything else in the valley."

The development will comprise two five-story buildings at the southwest corner of the Las Vegas Beltway and Charleston Boulevard.

Eight designs are offered, measuring as large as 2,800 square feet.

Montana chose the two-story Velvet design, a 2,153-square-foot home with a 153-square-foot covered terrace off the main living area.

"I love the openness and spaciousness of the Velvet design," he said. "The upstairs master suite overlooks the lower living area, which I think is a dramatic architectural feature. It's an elegant loft with high ceilings and huge windows, which will maximize the views and allow lots of natural light inside. I was also pleased to be able to select a loft that will give me a beautiful view of the mountains."

Knowledge of Christopher Cos. was another attraction for Montana.

"I've long been familiar with the Christopher name and I've always loved the homes and neighborhoods I've seen built by Christopher Homes," he said. "I love the way they design and build homes and I'm happy to know that the same team of professionals that oversees construction for Christopher Homes will be overseeing the construction of my loft."

The lofts will feature minimalist styling highlighted by exposed ductwork, expansive windows, and ceiling heights varying from 10 feet to 12 feet in the single-story lofts and 20 feet in the two-story lofts.

Interior features include stainless steel appliances, upgraded cabinetry, granite counter tops and upgraded plumbing fixtures. Customizing options include fireplaces, brick wall treatments, upgraded flooring and stone counter tops. Each loft will have a private terrace.

Prices start from the $700,000s to $1.2 million.

A heated pool, two spas and a fitness center are among the resident amenities.

Each building will have a landscaped roof garden with a fire pit, fireplace, barbecues and lounge area. The development's main level will comprise a private, enclosed parking garage and retail shops.

An executive golf club membership at Red Rock Country Club is included with each loft purchase.

Montana said he was also impressed by the customer service staff.

"They keep me constantly updated in terms of what's going on in the development process, and they stay on top of every detail. I've bought many, many homes in Las Vegas over the years and this is the best customer service I have ever received."

To visit the preview center, take the Beltway to Charleston and go east to the entrance of the Canyon Pointe shopping center.

An interest list is being formed for another development, C2 Lofts Upper West Side, in the northwestern valley. The lofts will be situated above retail shops, restaurants and offices.
