Custom home awaits buyer in MacDonald Highlands
MacDonald Highlands has a custom home available with city and mountain views. It measures 6,560 square feet and is known as "Serenity Point," according to developer Rich MacDonald. "This home features a hillside location on .83 acres ... and is artfully crafted with attention paid to every detail, including the large picture windows that take in the majestic mountains and the stunning Las Vegas skyline. (It) is a true masterpiece, with a one-of-a-kind, multi-level back yard with rockery pool and waterfall," MacDonald said. The home contains four bedrooms, each with a private bath and finished closet; formal living and dining rooms; a family room; covered balcony; downstairs terrace; and dual baths at poolside. It is priced at $2.75 million. The island kitchen includes a coffee and cappuccino maker, a refrigerator/freezer, and dark cherry wood cabinetry. Upon completion, the guard-gated community will feature 17 neighborhoods spread over 1,200 acres. Eight custom-home neighborhoods are under development, with lots priced from the $179,000s to more than $2 million. Central to the community is the DragonRidge Golf Club, which was designed by Jay Morrish and David Druzisky. A permanent clubhouse is expected to open next year with a pro shop, exercise facility, swimming pool, and casual and fine dining. Meantime, a temporary clubhouse is open. To visit the information office at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive then go south to Horizon Ridge. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. MacDonald Highlands is hosting the 2002 Street of Dreams luxury housing tour, which runs through June 16.
