Tierra Mesa provides buyer respite

First-time home buyer Joe Ceja searched throughout Las Vegas before finding the style of home and neighborhood he wanted at Richmond American's Tierra Mesa development in the northeastern valley.

"I wanted a convenient location and a place to live that was set back from all of the Las Vegas excitement," Ceja said.

"Tierra Mesa offered that, as well as a price range that worked for me."

He said he also wanted to select a builder with a strong reputation, and Richmond American did not disappoint. Ceja moved into his home in June.

Three floor plans from the builder's Vista collection are available.

Ceja chose the two-story Buena Vista, which measures 1,146 square feet with two bedrooms and two baths on the second level. A downstairs powder room is optional. A single-car garage is standard. The home is priced from the $160,000s.

The Chula Vista measures 1,308 square feet with three bedrooms and a great room. There also is a tech area that can be converted into a half bath. It is priced from the low $180,000s.

The Alta Vista is a single-story design priced from the $110,000s. At 555 square feet, it is a one-bedroom home with a great room.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Lake Mead Boulevard, go east to Bonnie Lane and turn north.

Richmond American Homes offers more than 30 subdivisions throughout the valley. All of the builder's sales offices and models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily except Monday and Friday, when they open at noon.
