Sun City Anthem resident touts builder's service program

Robert and Delores Johnson moved two years ago to Sun City Anthem, a Del Webb age-qualified community in Henderson. Robert Johnson, a former aerospace engineer and businessman, has been delighted with the builder's customer service all along.

"Del Webb is unique in respect to its customer service policies," said Johnson, who had previously owned five homes. "Other builders just say to call if needed and they don't bother to follow up unless you have a problem. This is the only builder in my experience that comes back on regular visits."

Del Webb's "9-Step Commitment Program" guides homeowners through the construction process, and for two years after the home is occupied. Each new-home owner is assigned a team of customer service representatives who follow a schedule of service contacts.

First, a preconstruction group orientation explains the construction process and the program. The steps that follow orient the buyer before construction is complete, at a preclosing meeting, and after closing with follow-up visits to guarantee satisfaction.

During the Johnsons' scheduled 24-month visit, customer service manager Ryan Sallee answered all of their questions and discussed routine home maintenance, stressing how to preserve the quality, functionality and appearance of their home.

"We have the most comprehensive inspection and home orientation program in the country," Byron Jones, customer service director, said.

The program is practiced at all Del Webb communities, including Sun City Anthem, Solera at Anthem and Sun City Aliante, all of which are age-qualified. In addition, the program is conducted at Anthem Country Club, a community for all ages.

To visit Anthem, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway, turn left at Anthem Parkway and follow the signs. Models for Solera at Anthem, Anthem Country Club and Sun City Anthem are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

To tour Sun City Aliante's model village, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go north. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
