Turnberry Place: High Life

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Turnberry Associates broke ground on Turnberry Place, a luxury high-rise condominium development, three years ago. Planned to include four 40-story towers and 740 residences, sales have exceeded $400 million and 450 units have been sold.

The 15-acre project is located on Paradise Road, just south of Sahara Avenue. Two towers are complete and the third is under construction. Buildout is expected in 2005.

John Riordan, vice president of sales, said the lifestyle created by the developer is similar to the "perks and service of a five-star hotel."

"There is very little upkeep that goes along with this type of lifestyle," Riordan said. "There is no yard work and no cleaning the swimming pool. The Turnberry lifestyle is ideal for people who travel and do not want to worry about leaving their home for long periods of time."

The gated development features a 24-hour security staff, and each residence is equipped with a security system. In addition, elevators require key cards to transport residents to their homes.

Central to Turnberry Place is The Stirling Club, an 80,000-square-foot private club with valet, concierge and VIP service. All residents are members, and can participate in activities such as wine tastings, barbecues, cooking classes, social gatherings and special events.

Casual and fine dining are also featured as is the Twenty Eight Club, which caters to wine connoisseurs. Three chefs are on staff.

The Stirling Club also houses the full-service, 30,000-square-foot Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa, the first such facility to open in the United States. Additional amenities include a lounge with piano bar, nightclub, billiard room, wine and cigar room, concierge service, business center and library. There is also a beauty salon; spas, saunas and steam baths; a Pilates studio; lap pool; plunge pools; and a fitness center. Outside is a mosaic pool with a pool bar.

Ten floor plans are available, measuring from 1,550 to 8,000 square feet and priced from $500,000 to more than $5.25 million. Each plan includes Italian marble spa tubs, granite-topped European kitchen cabinetry, Sub-Zero and Gagganau appliances, and wrap-around glass balconies with city views.

A 2,825-square-foot model home simulating a 27th-floor view is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2777 Paradise Road.
