Turnberry Towers residents to live short walk away from Strip

Turnberry Towers' location a block from the Strip attracts prospective buyers who want to live within walking distance of one of the most famous boulevards in the world, according to John Riordan, Turnberry senior vice president.

"Many of our purchasers will use their residence as a second or vacation home and the close proximity of Turnberry Towers to world-class resorts, dining and entertainment is an advantage," Riordan said.

The high-rise luxury development, which is under construction at the corner of Paradise Road and Karen Avenue, is just across the street from developer Turnberry Ltd.'s first Las Vegas Valley project, Turnberry Place.

"Turnberry set the standard for the high-rise resort lifestyle concept in Las Vegas with the introduction of Turnberry Place," Riordan said.

"At a Turnberry development, all of the residences bask in refinements and luxuries and five-star service is standard."

The newer development features two 45-story towers with amenities such as a fitness facility, outdoor pool with a sundeck, landscaping and tennis courts.

A valet and 24-hour security are available.

Sales for the west tower are under way; the east tower sold out in less than three months.

Construction began in June on the east tower, which is slated for occupancy in spring 2007.

The west tower and a five-story garage also are under construction with no firm completion date announced.

Prospective buyers may choose from residences with one to three bedrooms.

The one-bedroom, 1 1/2-bath residence features a great-room layout and a counter bar.

One of the two-bedroom residences features a den and two baths. It offers floor-to ceiling windows to accentuate views of the Strip.

In the west tower are two-bedroom, two-bath residences that span the floor of the tower, providing views 180-degree views.

Situated on the top 12 floors of the towers are the three-bedroom residences with oversized balconies.

Each of the residences comes with Italian marble baths, whirlpool tubs, granite-topped European kitchen cabinetry, upgraded appliances and 9-foot ceilings.

Prices start from $550,000 to more than $1.3 million.

The sales office, featuring a 1,658-square-foot furnished model, is located at 222 Karen Ave.

Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
