Ryland Homes unveils plans for South Mountain neighborhoods

Ryland Homes has announced plans to introduce South Mountain, a 747-home community offering 19 floor plans.

Located in the southwestern valley, the community is scheduled to open in August with five neighborhoods: Treo North, Treo South, Vicanto, Talasera and Aviano. An interest list is being compiled.

Treo neighborhoods will each offer four two-story floor plans ranging from 1,174 to 1,879 square feet. They will have two or three bedrooms, as many as 2 1/2 baths, and a one- or two-car garage. Amenities will include a park and swimming pool.

Vicanto will feature four two-story designs measuring 1,611 to 2,208 square feet. They will have two to four bedrooms, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths and a two-car garage.

One single-story and three two-story designs will be featured at Talasera. Homes will measure from 1,756 to 3,002 square feet with two to four bedrooms and two to three baths, as well as two- and three-car garages.

Aviano will feature the largest designs, with three single- and two-story floor plans measuring from 2,523 to 4,252 square feet. Homes will have three to five bedrooms and as many as 4 1/2 baths. Two designs will have a three-car garage, while the largest offering will have a four-car garage.

The builder's TrueU design program allows buyers to customize their homes.

South Mountain is the third community to be introduced by Ryland Homes since the home-building company entered the Las Vegas market earlier this year.

The company operates in 27 markets nationwide and has built more than 210,000 homes and financed more than 180,000 mortgages since its founding in 1967.
