Strip worker finds dream home at The Villas

Connie Capacite, a cocktail hostess for a Strip property, knew what she was looking for in her first house. She wanted a community that was not too big, but featured modern-style homes.

After looking around for four years, the San Francisco native finally discovered her dream home at The Villas by Rhodes Homes.

"I love the modern city look of the homes at The Villas," Capacite said. "I also love the fact that the Villas is not a huge community full of thousands of homes. It's small with big community features such as a pool."

Amenities at the 220-home neighborhood include a swimming pool, spa, barbecue area with an outdoor fireplace, and a playground with additional barbecue facilities.

Capacite chose the 1856 Plan home, which measures 1,856 square feet and is priced from the high $160,000s. The home features three-bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.

"I love the sunken floors and the wraparound stairway in my new home," she said. "The Villas truly is an excellent value for first-time home buyers."

The neighborhood has three two-story detached floor plans, each with a two-car garage.

The 2024, a two-story model, is a three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home measuring 2,024 square feet. It has a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and options to convert the two front bedrooms into a second suite or bonus room. The home is priced from the mid-$170,000s.

The 2400, a two-story home measuring 2,400 square feet, is a four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath residence with a living room, family room, formal dining room and upstairs laundry room. The fourth bedroom can be converted into a master bedroom retreat, and the two front-facing bedrooms can be built as a bonus room. The home is priced from the high $180,000s.

Each home includes a white granite counter top in the kitchen, valued at more than $2,400, when the home buyer uses the builder's preferred lender.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Sunset Road and turn west, following the signs. The model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
