Perma-Bilt's Southern Terrace reports strong sales
Perma-Bilt Homes' Southern Terrace has sold more than 400 homes in less than a year, making it one of the most successful developments in the southwestern valley, according to Daniel Schwartz, president of the company. Part of that success has come from the Monterey neighborhood, which features three two-story plans that range from 2,860 to 3,541 square feet. Prices start from the low $300,000s. "Monterey was designed to be a community of elegance from the gated entrance to its location near the mountains to the west of Southern Terrace," Schwartz said. Various floor plans have options for split three-car garages, master bedroom retreats, front courtyards with fireplaces, optional bonus rooms, patios, home offices or libraries, and as many as six bedrooms and four baths. The community comprises four neighborhoods: Autumn Hills, Somerset, Ridgemont and Monterey. Combined, they feature 15 floor plans ranging from 1,379 to 3,500 square feet. Prices start from the $160,000s to the low $300,000s. "Southern Terrace truly offers something for most buyers, including Autumn Hills and Somerset with entry-level and move-up homes, Ridgemont with its all single-story plans and Monterey with executive-style floor plans with front courtyard entries and up to six bedrooms," Schwartz said. Another amenity is the private Southern Terrace Club. This facility features a family swimming pool, adult swimming pool, playground, barbecue area, exercise room, saunas, locker rooms, a massage facility and full-time activities director. All of the homes in the community have received the ComfortWise and Energy Star designations, which certify that they are at least 30 percent more energy efficient than a standard home. Perma-Bilt Homes is also developing a nearly one-mile-long exercise trail with desert landscaping. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Russell Road, go west to Fort Apache Road and turn left. The model village is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday when they open at 11 a.m.
