Single-story homes built on one-quarter acre or half-acre home sites are available at The Preserve, a northwestern valley neighborhood by Rhodes Homes.

"The Preserve is a gated community located directly across the street from a ... park," sales agent Marni Hughes said. "We definitely offer the best of classic country-style estate living in Elkhorn Springs. However, the number of homes left is very limited."

The homes are priced as low as $85 per square foot, she said.

Three floor plans are available, and the name of each plan represents the home's square footage.

Plan 4068 offers six bedrooms or five bedrooms plus a den. It also contains three baths, a living room, family room, dining room and island kitchen with nook. A covered courtyard entry is also featured. The home is built on a half-acre home site and is priced in the mid-$340,000s.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, head east to the frontage road, then go north to Elkhorn Road. Drive east to Buffalo Drive then go north following the signs. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
