Rancho Las Palmas: Pardee opens Stone Creek models

Pardee Homes celebrates summer and a grand opening today and tomorrow at its Rancho Las Palmas community in the southern valley.

With the debut of the model homes in the Stone Creek neighborhood, visitors can see the latest Pardee has to offer, enjoy refreshments and enter a prize drawing for a gas barbecue, courtesy of Southwest Gas Corp. In addition, summertime entertaining tips will be provided from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

Stone Creek is the 12th neighborhood to be built in Rancho Las Palmas since Pardee opened the 600-acre community 15 years ago. It is home to an elementary school, as well as Hidden Palms Park with its tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; jogging trails; play areas; and barbecue and picnic areas.

"Stone Creek represents a new level of sophistication for Rancho Las Palmas," sales executive Ray Landry said. "A bold exterior color palette and dramatic designs create a beautiful street scene in this family-oriented community.

"Customer priorities were built into these homes, including energy efficiencies, greater flexibility, and ... family rooms and bonus rooms. In addition to the complete Energy Star package, Stone Creek homes also feature high-speed, digital category 5 wiring for home networking possibilities."

Each home has earned the Energy Star label for efficiency.

The single-story Plan One can be built to 2,001 or 2,027 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and three baths. A two- or three-car garage is available.

Also a single-story, Plan Two offers four bedrooms, or three bedrooms plus a den, a family room and three baths in 2,395 square feet. A two-car garage and separate side-loading garage are featured. With options, the home can be expanded to 2,413 square feet.

The two-story Plan Three can be built with three bedrooms plus a den, four bedrooms, or five bedrooms in lieu of a bonus room with a balcony. A three-car garage is standard. The master suite in this 2,713-square-foot home offers dual walk-in closets and an optional balcony.

Plan Four, a two-story design, is available in four variations and offers as many as seven bedrooms and four baths. Depending upon the options selected, the home measures from 3,085 to 3,844 square feet.

Homes are priced from the low $200,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Windmill Lane, head west to Bermuda Road, then go south to Serene Avenue and follow the signs. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
