Street of Dreams hosts awards ceremony

All of the participants in the 2004 Street of Dreams luxury-home show garnered praise at last month's awards ceremony at The Venetian hotel. Dave Straughan, president of Street of Dreams Inc., expressed his gratitude for the "extraordinary efforts toward making our fourth show in Southern Nevada another outstanding success.

"Time and time again, people praised the quality of architecture and interior design in your homes and described the fun they had walking through them," Straughan said. "We congratulate all of you for the talent and hard work you put forth in creating such a successful show."

The participating builder-design teams were: Christopher Homes (Bloomingdale's); Merlin Contracting and Development (LaStrada Furniture & Interiors); Sun West Custom Homes (Sannene Garehime and Briana Tiberti); and Sunwood Inc. Luxury Home Developers (ZINAZ Inc.).

The award winners were determined by ballots submitted by the public. The winners were:

Best of Show: KinKara by Sun West Custom Homes.

Best Architectural Design: Aria by Christopher Homes.

Best Interior: KinKara by Sannene Garehime and Briana Tiberti of Sun West Custom Homes.

Best Landscape: Aria by Christopher Homes.

The five-week show at MacDonald Highlands in Henderson featured homes measuring from 5,400 to 9,500 square feet and priced as high as $5.9 million. All homes overlooked the city and DragonRidge Country Club.
