Social, recreational, educational activities help keep Siena residents active, content
With an almost endless schedule of social and educational activities, myriad recreational facilities, and a Summerlin location, residents of the age-qualified Siena village can have it all, according to Jimmy Jones, vice president of sales.
"Included in the Siena association dues, our residents have 24-hour roving and guard-gated security, access to the community's state-of-the-art health and fitness center, the community center and countless social opportunities," he said. "We are constantly striving to ensure the residents of Siena have access to the finest resort-style amenities available."

Additionally, developer Sunrise Colony Co., ensured the community's architecture reflected the Tuscan region in Italy that it was named after.
"We have incorporated the limestones and architectural arches and domes associated with great European design into the sophisticated, yet functional, community facilities," Jones said.
Examples of this philosophy include the use of domes and arches in the health and fitness center, as well as 15-foot-tall murals of the Italian countryside. The facility features a 25-yard indoor pool, spa, outdoor pool and spa, lighted tennis and bocce courts, cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, exercise room, private saunas and steam rooms, a full-service beauty salon, and a day spa.
A 38,000-square-foot community center serves as a venue for social activities, classes and organizations. It houses a grand ballroom that hosts theater productions, art shows, political debates, and evening entertainment, along with a computer learning center, painting facility, sewing and quilting center, fine arts and ceramics area, music room, game rooms, business center, meeting rooms, and library. The facility also has an on-site activities staff.
The 18-hole Siena Golf Club meanders throughout the 665-acre community. The par-72, daily-fee course is open to all ages, however, residents receive special rates and preferred tee times.
The course is complemented by a 13,500-square-foot clubhouse, which is located outside the gates. It includes a pro shop and bistro with indoor and patio dining.
Opportunities to purchase a new home within the community are limited. A selection of new homes and builder model closeouts are available, priced from the $400,000s to $1 million. Floor plans range from 1,040 to nearly 3,200 square feet. Each plan in the six Italian-themed collections offers a range of customizing opportunities, including select plans with courtyard fireplaces and casitas with separate entrances.
"While we still have a nice selection of new homes to choose from -- with most of them able to be available in 30 days -- our inventory is rapidly decreasing and the day is fast approaching when we will have no new homes left," Jones said.
To visit, take Flamingo Road or the Las Vegas Beltway west to Town Center Drive, turn left, go to Siena Monte Avenue and turn left. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
