Richmond American buyers repeat

Leo and Yolanda Cuellar enjoyed their first Richmond American home so much that when they decided to purchase a second home, there was no question of which builder they would choose. The Cuellars purchased their new home at Ashley Ridge, a neighborhood in northwest Las Vegas.

"When we bought our first home at Richmond's Ridge Court, the overall process was wonderful," Yolanda Cuellar said. "It was common sense for us to choose Richmond American to build our second home."

"Since we are putting so much of ourselves financially and emotionally into this process, we wanted to make sure that we were receiving a quality home with great design," Leo Cuellar said. "We are just as impressed with Richmond American's workmanship the second time around."

Both said they liked the location of the neighborhood.

There are seven two-story floor plans available, and buyers can choose from a variety of exterior color schemes.

The Cuellars chose the Tattersal, a 1,364-square-foot home with two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a great room, formal dining room and upstairs laundry room. It can be expanded to include as many as four bedrooms. The base price for the home is from the $310,000s.

With daughters Veronica and Vanessa, the Cuellars opted for four bedrooms.

"The girls can each have their own room and we still have the option of a guest room or office," Leo Cuellar said.

Among the other floor plans is the 2,280-square-foot Tapestry, a three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home with a turret entry. It features a great room with a media niche and optional fireplace, a home office, a parlor and separate dining room on the first floor. The island kitchen offers a breakfast nook. Upstairs are a bonus room and laundry room. The design can offer as many as six bedrooms. It is priced from the $360,000s.

At 1,608 square feet, the Herringbone is a two-bedroom, two-bath home with a dining room, breakfast area and island kitchen. The design can include as many as four bedrooms. It is priced from the $330,000s.

The 1,954-square-foot Chenille includes three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, living and dining areas, and a family room with a media alcove and optional fireplace. The master bath features a tub and split vanity sinks, separated by a shower. In front is a covered porch. The design is priced from the $350,000s.

The three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath Matelasse measures 1,643 square feet with living, dining and family rooms; U-shaped kitchen with a breakfast nook; and an optional master bedroom retreat. It is priced from the $340,000s.

The 1,233-square-foot Tartan comes with two bedrooms, a loft or third bedroom, and 2 1/2 baths. The floor plan starts from the $290,000s.

The two-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath Jacquard design measures 978 square feet. Priced from the $260,000s, the home comes with a covered entry.

To visit take U.S. Highway 95 to Durango Drive and turn left. Go north on Frontage Road to Grand Teton Drive and head west to Grand Canyon Drive.

The home builder offers more than 30 active subdivisions throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except for Monday and Friday, when they open at noon.
