Former `Survivor' contestant buys home in Las VegasBy HOLLY IVY DE VOREREAL ESTATE WRITER
Scot Savage, a realty agent for Realty 500 Reiss Corp., is accustomed to getting referrals. So, when former "Survivor" contestant Susan Hawk, a truck driver from Wisconsin, and her husband, Tim, recently contacted Savage, he went with the flow and helped them find a new home in Las Vegas. "Susan Hawk is the very first celebrity that I sold a house to. I picked her up at the hotel to look for a house, and we've been friends since. When she was in Las Vegas once for a convention, her husband even went on `The Price Is Right' trip with my group," Savage said. "It's hard to believe that I sold a house to Sue Hawk. When I was watching `Survivor,' I really didn't like her and was cheering for the Las Vegas girl, Kelly (Wiglesworth). But after meeting her, I've found out that Sue's a very nice person and we've become friends." Savage represented the Hawks in their purchase of a resale home with a pool on a half-acre lot in the northwestern valley. The couple plans to make the four-bedroom, three-bath home their primary residence. "We learned of Scot through one of his friends who recognized me when we were at a casino," Susan Hawk said. "We started talking and told her that we wanted to move to Las Vegas, but were having trouble finding a house. She said that her neighbor, Scot, was a good real estate agent so we called him." Hawk said she could not be happier with her choice of realty agent. "Scot was very professional and we enjoyed working with him," she said. "After looking at about eight homes on one-acre lots, we decided to look at houses on half-acre lots. He went and looked at other listings for us and found the house that we eventually bought. My husband, who is also in real estate, and I think Scot's real estate knowledge is excellent."
