Recreation underscores lifestyle at Lake Las Vegas Resort

Lake Las Vegas Resort surrounds a 320-acre lake and provides its residents and guests with a summer-like atmosphere year-round, according to Jack Christie, vice president of sales and marketing.

"Whether it's sailing, fishing, swimming, golfing, hiking, bicycling or just relaxing, Lake Las Vegas Resort offers residents the opportunity to recreate where they live," he said.

A range of residential options is available, including waterfront homes, golf villas, townhomes and single-family homes terraced into the hillsides. Potential residents can take a free 45-minute water taxi ride on the lake.

The resort features two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses: the private SouthShore Golf Club and the public Reflection Bay Golf Club. The Falls Golf Club, a public facility designed by Tom Weiskopf, is slated to open in September. The Tom Fazio-designed Rainbow Canyon Golf Club is scheduled to debut in 2005.

A 496-room Hyatt Regency hotel is on-site with a casino and fitness center. A 350-room Ritz-Carlton hotel is under construction and expected to open early next year.

The Ritz-Carlton is part of the MonteLago Village development. When it opens early next year, the village will feature a Florentine-style bridge linking the resort's northern and southern shores, as well as a spa, casino, boutiques, waterside restaurants and cafes, office space, and condominiums.

A full-service marina is open and provides a boat launch; convenience store; boat cleaning, maintenance and refreshment stocking services; new boat sales; and boat and water toy rentals.

The private yacht and beach club includes a picnic and lawn area, pool and spa, fitness area, tennis and basketball facilities, a meeting room, and banquet facilities.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Lake Mead Drive and head east to Lake Las Vegas Parkway. Or, take Interstate 215 to Lake Las Vegas Parkway.

Lake Las Vegas Resort is a development of Transcontinental Properties Inc.
