Siena announces golf course home purchase incentiveSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Gladys Griswold has purchased three homes at Siena, and recently became the 1,000th buyer within the age-qualified community in Summerlin. Her reasons for the multiple purchases are simple: a sense of security, sound investment and resident activities. "In addition to the homes that were available, I was very impressed with the sense of security I felt, as well as the variety of amenities and activities that were offered," Griswold said. "Being at Siena is like being at a resort, and I think snowbirds who are looking to rent for several months will find the community very attractive." Griswold, a businesswoman and seven-year resident of Southern Nevada, has selected golf course lots for each of her homes. Siena Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72, daily fee facility designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. Although open to golfers of all ages, Siena residents are given special rates and preferred tee times. Amenities include a clubhouse with a pro shop and a full-service restaurant. Jimmy Jones, vice president of sales for developer Sunrise Colony Co., said that through Aug. 31, buyers purchasing a golf course home site will receive a golf cart and a special incentive package. "While each golf course home purchase includes a golf cart, the tiered incentive credit package is based on the home site premium," Jones said. "The purchaser will receive between $2,500 and $6,000 in incentive credits, depending on the value of the purchase made." Qualified buyers can apply their credits to such items as golf merchandise, lessons or rounds; food and beverage; massages, manicures, fitness classes, events and personal training; homeowners association dues; and design studio purchases. Siena, a 665-acre community, features six Italian-themed collections of homes and 18 single-story floor plans. The homes are priced from the $140,000s to the $650,000s, and measure from 1,040 to 3,100 square feet. Each plan offers three exterior designs. Select designs can be purchased with a casita and a courtyard fireplace. Interior designers are on-site to assist home buyers. The newest residential offering is the Portofino Collection. It is comprised of four attached-home floor plans, measuring from 1,040 to 1,378 square feet and priced from $144,500 to $169,700. Community amenities include a health and fitness center with an indoor 25-meter pool, indoor spa and a view of Siena's golf course, outdoor pool and spa, and lighted tennis and bocce courts. A wellness center overseen by Summerlin Hospital and Medical Center is also featured, as are a full-service beauty salon, day spa and equipped workout facilities. The developer expects to break ground soon for a 39,000-square-foot community center with a grand ballroom. It is anticipated to open next spring. Meantime, a temporary social center is open. To tour the model-home village, take Sahara Avenue or Interstate 215 to Town Center Drive then head south to Siena Monte Avenue. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
