Solera's opening celebrated

Del Webb is celebrating the grand opening of its newest age-qualified community, Solera at Anthem, today and Sunday.

The public is invited to enjoy refreshments, entertainment and prize drawings for gas barbecues from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

The community's sales center also is making its debut. The 25,000-square-foot building will eventually become part of the community's recreation center.

"We are excited to offer a lifestyle choice that includes stylish, energy-efficient homes, friendly neighborhoods and quality recreation," sales manager R. Wayne Wermuth said. "Solera at Anthem offers a casual but elegant community."

Designed for residents 55 and older, the community is located within the developer's Anthem master plan in Henderson.

Amenities will include a fitness center with a swimming pool, club and hobby rooms, billiards, tennis and bocce courts, and computer and craft rooms.

Buyers can chose from four floor plans. They range from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet, and are priced from the mid- $170,000s to the $220,000s.

All homes feature energy-saving features including low-e windows, a cocoon-insulation system, and heating and cooling sealants that exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star requirements.

Additional amenities include prewiring for ceiling fans, telephone and cable connections in every room, Corian counter tops, raised-panel cabinets, garage door openers, and microwave ovens.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south to Anthem Parkway, turn left and proceed to 2385 Somersworth Drive. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
