Aliante's parks suit fivesome
Beckie and John Gobber found a large, luxurious home for their family of five at the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. "We just love everything about Aliante, especially the parks, trails and other family-oriented outdoor amenities," Beckie Gobber said. "There are so many things for families to do and as development continues, there will be even more." They purchased a home in D.R. Horton's Estates neighborhood, where they have lived for more than a year. "We think the layout of our home is just wonderful. It has spacious and open design that is comfortable for entertaining, as well as day-to-day family living. Our home site is also very spacious, with plenty of room for a swimming pool and outdoor entertaining," she said. "We're just thrilled with this community right now and excited about all that's coming in the future." The Gobbers live in the all-ages village of the community; there is also the age-qualified Sun City Aliante. Combined, they will have as many as 7,500 homes at the buildout of the 1,905-acre community. Builders are Astoria Homes, Del Webb Corp., D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes, Perma-Bilt Homes, Pulte Homes and US Home. Homes are priced from the low $200,000s to the $700,000s. About 430 acres are designated for recreational and public purposes including the municipal Aliante Golf Club, 20-acre Nature Discovery Park, two additional city parks that are planned, as well as trails and an arroyo. Plans also call for three schools and about 100 acres of commercial development, including retail and business centers and a 40-acre resort with gaming. Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb. An information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go south.
