Solera enters second year of salesSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Solera at Anthem, Del Webb's 385-acre age-qualified community within the Anthem master plan in Henderson, recognizes its one-year anniversary this weekend. "Solera's success of over 500 sales is a direct result of Del Webb's reputation for premier quality of homes and service, lifestyle and location as well as the simplified buying process offered at Solera," senior sales manager R. Wayne Wermuth said. Susan Raymond recently became Solera's 500th buyer. In recognition, the community's sales team presented her with a $500 gift certificate as well as a cake. Entering its second year of sales over the holiday weekend, the development has introduced Solera South, a collection of neighborhoods to the south of the sales pavilion and recreation center. To celebrate the Fourth of July, the Anthem master plan will host a fireworks show at Anthem Park for its residents. Solera has planned for a bus to take spectators from the community to the park to ring in the nation's 228th birthday. "It's hard to compete with the Fourth of July and our nation's birthday," Wermuth said. "But we feel lucky that we have a double celebration of sharing the holiday with new friends and neighbors that only resulted from the creation of the Solera community one year ago this weekend." The community offers five single-story home designs with a covered patio and two-garage, each named for an explorer: Lewis, Clark, Fremont, Whitney and Franklin. At 1,140 square feet, the Lewis features two bedrooms, two baths, and a great room. It is priced from the low $300,000s. The 1,251-square-foot Clark plan offers three bedrooms, two baths, and an open living and dining room. The home starts from the $310,000s. Highlights of 1,424-square-foot Fremont plan include three bedrooms, two baths, a great room, and dining room. The home is priced from the $350,000s. The Whitney plan features two bedrooms, two baths, a den and great room in 1,591 square feet. It is priced from the $405,000s. The 1,771-square-foot Franklin plan offers three bedrooms, two baths, a great room and dining room. It is priced from the $410,000s. Among the amenities in the homes are: two-tone paint, ceramic-tile flooring, ceiling fans, Corian kitchen counter tops, most appliances and category five wiring. In addition, each residence meets standards for the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label, offering energy-saving features such as low-e windows and blown-in cellulose insulation. In addition, all of the homes come with a three-year heating and cooling energy-use and comfort guarantee. A total of 1,870 home are expected to be built within the community. Tennis and bocce courts have opened for use at the community. A 24,000-square-foot recreation center is planned to include a fitness center, swimming pool, billiard tables, and rooms for clubs, hobbies, computers and crafts, among other activity areas. Groundbreaking for the center is planned for fall. Residents have formed several groups in anticipation of the community center's opening, including a singles club, mah-jongg club, hiking club and walking club. Nearby, The Revere at Anthem Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses: the Lexington and the Concord. Both courses were designed by course architect Greg Nash and pro golfer Billy Casper.
