Carlisle at Summerlin condo suits business owner

Company growth requires purchase of second home

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Anna Trombini operates a mortgage company in Northern California and plans a second office in Southern Nevada. Because she will divide her time between the two locations, finding a home in the Las Vegas area was a priority.

"I was about to buy a 900-square-foot (condominium) conversion unit in the southwest area until I walked in the front door," Trombini said. "It was so tight and small. I just felt like I couldn't breathe."

Trombini, a former resident of Las Vegas, then visited Carlisle at Summerlin, another condominium development.

"The minute I walked into the Weston (model) it felt so wide open, so spacious. It just felt so comfortable to me."

Homes come with nine-foot or vaulted ceilings.

The Weston plan provides two bedrooms, one of which has two walk-in closets, and two baths. It is priced from the mid-$200,000s.

Sales agent Cory Johnson said the development has attracted many second- and vacation-home buyers.

"I would say that for half of our buyers, this is a second home or a vacation home," he said. "They like what Las Vegas has to offer, and they like Carlisle for all it has to offer."

Common areas include a resort-style swimming pool, a spa, fireplace area with seating, and a clubhouse. The clubhouse contains a kitchen; a 40-inch TV/DVD player; a fireplace; and a 900-square-foot fitness area with cardio and weight-training equipment, changing rooms and a dry sauna.

Floor plans range from the one-bedroom, one-bath Clifton priced from the high $100,000s to the Aldridge, a townhome with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and an attached two-car garage. It is priced from the low $300,000s.

The units measure from 768 to 1,341 square feet.

Standard in each residence are two-tone designer paint; a multi-media/entertainment niche; maple cabinetry; granite counter tops in the kitchen and baths; ceramic tile in the kitchen, entry and baths; and appliances that include a washer, dryer, stainless steel gas range and oven, a dishwasher and a refrigerator.

For a limited time, a savings of as much as $20,000 is available with the purchase of select models.

The development is located at 10250 N. Covington Cross Drive, near Town Center Drive and Summerlin Parkway. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
