Newlyweds settle in at Vineyards

After a long and thorough search, newlyweds Dominic and Chantal Rodrigues found their ideal home at Christopher Homes' Vineyards neighborhood.

"We found that the homes at Vineyards offered the best quality, flexibility and value in our price range," said Dominic Rodrigues, a former resident of Philadelphia. "When we first drove in, we liked the unique design of the homes and the overall neighborhood. The Summerlin community is beautiful and we love the elevation of Vineyards, which will enable our home to have views of the Las Vegas skyline and the nearby mountains."

The guard-gated neighborhood is being built in The Arbors village and aligns Paseo Park. Four one- and two-story designs are available, ranging from 3,072 to more than 5,000 square feet. Prices start from the high $300,000s.

Standard features include motor courts, balconies, courtyards with fireplaces, and architectural detailing on all sides of each home.

"The homes at Vineyards are on large home sites starting at one-quarter acre, so they are not right on top of each other and you have a feeling of privacy," Chantal Rodrigues said. "You can see that Christopher Homes gave a lot of thought to creating a much more pleasant and interesting streetscape. The homes have unique European architecture, and when you drive down along the street, you see homes and front gardens as opposed to a wall of garages."

The Rodrigueses purchased the two-story Cambria model, which contains four bedrooms, a library, 3 1/2 baths and 3,464 square feet. With customizing options available, the couple expanded their home to 3,800 square feet, with a casita and an extended three-car garage.

"We also like having a main level master suite, with the secondary bedrooms upstairs," Chantal Rodrigues said. "It's a perfect home for the two of us, plus it offers the space we will need to grow as a family."

Other interior options include secondary owner suites, extra bedrooms and baths, bonus rooms, libraries, and wet bars.

Buyers can also consult with a professional interior designer at the builder's in-house design center.

To visit, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive and turn south. Turn right on Hualapai Way and proceed to Laurelglen Drive. The sales office and model homes are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
