The Vistas stays on top in Summerlin

The Vistas remains the fastest-selling village in Summerlin. More than 2,750 homes have been sold in the village, located west of Interstate 215, since it opened in 2000.

Upon completion, the 815-acre village will be home to 28 neighborhoods; two 7-acre entrance parks with 48-foot clock towers, one of which is complete; a 23-acre park with areas for football, baseball, tennis and basketball; Linda Givens Elementary School, which is scheduled to open for the 2004-05 school year; and a shopping center on West Charleston Boulevard.

Fifteen of its neighborhoods are sold out, and 10 are actively selling.

Two of the remaining three neighborhoods will incorporate the finished-lot program, in which the developer, The Howard Hughes Corp., assumes responsibility for the grading and infrastructure of individual lots including water, sewer, storm drains, power, telephone, curbs and paving.

More than 30 model homes are featured with floor plans ranging from 1,251 to 3,448 square feet. Homes are priced from the low $200,000s to more than $600,000.

Summerlin, which is being developed in villages in the western valley, has ranked as the nation's best-selling master-planned community for 10 of the past 11 years, according to independent surveys.

The development is home to eight golf courses, 107 neighborhood and village parks, more than 100 miles of trails, houses of worship, medical and cultural facilities, and business parks.

Represented by nearly 120 model homes, the available single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums are priced from the low $200,000s to more than $700,000.

Custom-home sites in The Ridges are priced from the high $500,000s to more than $1 million, and predesigned custom homes are priced from $2.1 million.

Apartments offer rents starting from the low $800s.
