Acacia set to debut in spring
Pardee Homes is forming an interest list for its new Acacia neighborhood in Nevada Trails, according to Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales. Homes in the neighborhood will feature courtyard entries and offer as many as five bedrooms and four baths. Its four single- and two-story floor plans measure from 1,989 to 3,495 square feet. Acacia will join the recently opened Palo Verde and Mesquite neighborhoods in the southwestern valley community. A grand opening is scheduled for the spring. "In addition to great new designs, the three new Nevada Trails neighborhoods offer exciting LivingSmart choices for healthier, more energy-efficient living options that take energy savings to new levels," Landry said. The homes have earned the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label for exceeding national energy-efficiency standards by at least 30 percent, while the builder's LivingSmart program offers environmentally sensitive options such as solar power, fluorescent lighting, low-VOC paint, tankless water heaters and central vacuum systems. "Our new model park is also a showcase for the conservation of water in our arid environment," Landry said. "Our models are set in a beautiful desert demonstration garden that serves as a guide to responsible outdoor living in the Mojave Desert." Palo Verde features courtyard homes measuring from 2,817 to 5,051 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and five baths. They are priced from $376,950 to $464,950. Featuring several great room floor plans, Mesquite offers single- and two-story homes with as many as five bedrooms and three baths. They measure from 1,535 to 2,435 square feet and are priced from $254,950 to $296,450. The community features 13 acres of parks with amenities such as basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds and picnic areas, and 10 acres of trails. It also is the site of the Ultimate Family Home, which was featured during the recent International Builders' Show and will be open for tours during weekends in February. The zero-energy home is capable of producing as much electricity as it will use during certain times of the year. "Many of the sustainable technologies used in the show home are now offered to families in the new Nevada Trails neighborhoods," Landry said. Additional information is available at the community's sales office, which is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Rainbow Boulevard, go one mile south to Robindale Road and turn right. Pardee has built more than 25,000 homes in Southern Nevada since 1952.
