Family attracted to Aliante by outdoor amenities, floor plans
Candy Kolasky was looking for a community with family-oriented amenities when she found her new home in Aliante. "We all took a drive out there and just loved it," Kolasky said of the master-planned community in North Las Vegas. "I could see that this will be a wonderful place to raise my children, plus there are lots of recreational opportunities for adults as well. We are all going to enjoy the parks, the tennis courts, volleyball courts and walking trails." Kolasky purchased a Fiori design at KB Home's San Destin Ravello neighborhood. The two-story home features three bedrooms, a den and 2 1/2 baths; it measures 1,867 square feet. "I love the layout, especially the den which is quite large and will provide a great place for my kids to play. I've also enjoyed working with the people at KB Home, who have been friendly, helpful and responsive to any of my questions or requests. They really keep you informed and care about your satisfaction as a home buyer," she said. Kolasky and her two children will move into their new home in the spring. "We are all very excited about moving here. It's a great place to live right now and it's only going to get better as construction continues," she said. The 1,905-acre community is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. Its main and age-qualified villages will have as many as 7,500 homes. Builders in the main village are D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes. Del Webb is developing the age-qualified Sun City Aliante. Homes are priced from the $150,000s to the low $400,000s. About one-fourth of the community is designated for recreational and public purposes. Amenities include a municipal golf course, parks, trails and an arroyo. In addition, plans call for two elementary schools, a middle school, a fire station and about 100 acres of commercial development, including a resort with gaming. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Interstate 215, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Proceed to Frontage Road and turn right, then turn left onto the interstate, exit at Aliante Parkway and go south to the information center, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
