American West provides basements in Crown Pointe homes

American West Homes offers finished basements at its Crown Pointe neighborhood in Silverado Ranch.

The homes with basements measure from 3,633 to 5,400 square feet and are priced from $293,950.

"Residents are welcomed home to an enclave of only 78 homes," sales agent Richard Hitemann said. "The neighborhood is complete with landscaping and a private park."

The floor plans offer four to six bedrooms and three-car garages.

"The introduction of basements is a result of the thoughtful planning and deep pride that are integral to the American West philosophy," company President Larry Canarelli said.

"Every innovation we incorporate into our homes must enhance the `user-friendliness' of each home. Basements do that so well -- what a perfect place for an in-home gym or a kids' play room or even for storage."

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Windmill Lane, head west to Maryland Parkway, then go south about 1 1/2 miles. The models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
