Highland Hills described as `quiet, country-like'
Home buyers in search of a "quiet, country-like location" in North Las Vegas should visit Highland Hills, according to Brian Seager, president of Avante Homes. "Home buyers ... will be pleasantly surprised to discover how much more they will get for their money at Highland Hills," Seager said, pointing out that planned amenities include six neighborhood parks, a playground, picnic facilities, a basketball court and an exercise trail. Seven single- and two-story floor plans are available, ranging from 1,200 to 2,900 square feet with as many as five bedrooms. Homes are priced from the low $120,000s. Exteriors feature South- western-style architecture with concrete-tile roofs, block walls with wrought-iron gates, and desert or sod/desert combination front-yard landscaping with irrigation. Interiors are highlighted by entertainment niches, ceramic-tile flooring at entry, laundry rooms, and overhead lighting braced for ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Kitchens feature pantries, oak cabinetry in a choice of finishes, recessed or track lighting (per plan) and appliance packages. Options include dens, lofts and owner-suite retreats. To visit, take Ann Road to Allen Lane and go north, following the signs. The model homes and sales office are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
