The Estates: Sales pass halfway mark at Red Rock's newest enclave

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Among Sunrise Colony Co.'s newest offerings at Red Rock Country Club is The Estates, a gated enclave of homes priced from the mid-$800,000s to more than $2 million. It comprises 83 home sites of which fewer than half remain for sale.

"Homes in The Estates offer the best of everything offered at Red Rock Country Club -- from views of the mountains and Las Vegas skyline to locations on our Arnold Palmer-designed golf course," said Frank Countner, the developer's chief operating officer in Las Vegas.

The Estates features two collections of homes -- The Palo Verde and The Palm, both of which are complemented by the country club community's adjacency to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, according to Countner.

"The Palo Verde Collection offers buyers the opportunity to own a luxury home that is semicustom in nature within the Red Rock community, which is rich with amenities that have been carefully planned and designed to complement the natural environment," he said.

Buyers can choose from three floor plans in this collection, which was designed with features such as picture windows, balconies and courtyards to maximize views of the golf course.

Plan 4101 measures 3,765 square feet with three bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and a four-car garage in a single-story design. It includes a great room with a wet bar and a view to the patio; fireplaces in the family room and owner bedroom, which also has a retreat and media niche; and a kitchen island cook top, dining bar, nook and pantry. A courtyard fireplace, library, storage room and dining room are optional.

The country club is highlighting Plan 4101 during the month of February. One of these homes is being built off the second hole of the Mountain Golf Course and offers a springtime delivery date.

The two-story Plan 4202 measures 4,728 square feet with five bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths, three fireplaces plus a four-car garage. A circular foyer highlights the interior, while the kitchen contains an island cook top and nook. A fireplace in the owner bedroom is optional.

Also a two-story design is Plan 4203, which can be built with as many as five bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths and a four-car garage. This plan, which measures 5,300 square feet, also includes a curved staircase, library, living room and dining room with butler's pantry. The kitchen features an island cook top and a pantry. Options include a wine storage room, media/game room and home theater.

"Homes in the Palo Verde Collection were designed for buyers to personalize their home with many options, ranging from casitas to home offices, libraries and media rooms for home theater systems," Karin Stiles, a sales executive, said. "And, we have buyers ranging from those looking for a spacious home to accommodate an active family to professionals looking for a home that was designed for entertaining with features such as a wine cellar and a room for a home gym. And through our Sunsation program, we assist buyers in customizing a home to fit their personal needs."

The Palm Collection, which is not modeled at the guard-gated country club, offers three floor plans, ranging from 6,856 to 7,225 square feet with as many as seven bedrooms. Elevators, basements and five-car garages are optional.

The Sunsation program allows buyers to consult the developer, who will assist in building a customized home through inspections, architectural approval and design decisions, according to Stiles.

"(The) program helps buyers create a truly personalized home, from minor structural changes to pool construction to upgraded landscaping that suits their individual style and taste, as well as special needs of families," she said.

About 450 homes will be built at Red Rock Country Club, where four collections of homes and 14 floor plans are available. Homes range from 2,100 to 8,000 square feet and are priced from the low $300,000s to more than $2 million. Architectural styles include Spanish Colonial, Italianate and desert contemporary.

Community amenities include a clubhouse with a pro shop, locker rooms, banquet rooms, and formal and informal dining.

The sports club offers health and fitness equipment, saunas, steam rooms, an aerobics studio, locker rooms, and a supervised play area for children.

The aquatic center features a family pool, spa, an adults-only pool, a lap pool, splash-and-spray park, and an outdoor grill. The tennis facility offers nine hard-surface courts, including one stadium court and five lighted courts.

Three types of membership are available at the country club: golf, sports and social/swim.

To visit, take Sahara Avenue west past Town Center Drive then follow the signs. Models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
