Former NFL player tackles elements with Rolladen Shutters

Two years ago, former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Jerrol Williams noted that his 3,000-square-foot, two-story Henderson home had little to offer in terms of defense. That's when he purchased Rolladen Rolling Shutters.

"I got them primarily for security," said Williams, a graduate of Chaparral High School and nine-year veteran (1989-97) of the National Football League.

"I really enjoy the security message," he said. "When you're in your home with the shutters down, nobody can get inside."

The shutters have been available in Las Vegas for more than 15 years, and feature foam-filled aluminum slats that are custom made for each home. According to the company, the shutters can reduce power bills by as much as 64 percent.

"I know that in the winter I only run one heating unit downstairs and that heats the entire house," Williams said.

The shutters are supplied for residential and commercial construction. The company is currently offering $100 off on all electric motors installed with each shutter.

The showroom is located at 6168 W. Charleston Blvd. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment.
