Accent put on luxury at Vineyards

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Luxury amenities both indoors and outdoors highlight the homes at Vineyards, a guard-gated neighborhood that Christopher Homes is developing in Summerlin.

Home interiors incorporate rich colors and architectural detailing, and are complemented by exterior amenities such as motor courts, casitas, balconies and courtyards with fireplaces.

Steve Hackney, company president, said creating the indoor/outdoor relationship was key in planning the neighborhood.

"Part of this planning involved incorporating spacious and private courtyards in the majority of the residential designs at Vineyards," he said. "We have found courtyards to be among the most popular elements requested by clients of our custom-home division, and they have proven to be equally popular among home buyers at Vineyards.

"Courtyards expand the already generous living space of these homes and present a perfect venue for large-scale entertaining or simple outdoor relaxation. They are available with optional fireplaces and also provide pleasant views from the interior living areas of the home."

Buyers can choose from four single- and two-story floor plans, ranging from 3,072 to 5,000 square feet and priced from the high $300,000s.

"The emphasis in designing Vineyards was on quality, not quantity, which meant fewer homes could be built here," Hackney said. "This enabled Christopher Homes to offer one-quarter-acre home sites (and) to incorporate a private park that traverses the neighborhood through a series of magnificent fountain plazas with seating areas."

Vineyards' location on an elevated site within The Arbors village further enhances the homes, according to Hackney.

"Along with selected home sites that offer city light and mountain views, there are also scenic views that all Vineyards homeowners can enjoy from a number of vantage points within the neighborhood," he said.

"Another great asset of Vineyards is its adjacency to Summerlin's Paseo Park, which enables homeowners and their children to walk or bike a short distance to two city parks and an elementary school without having to cross a single street."

Floor plan variations and customizing options are available. Once decisions have been made, the company's architectural designers prepare plans that reflect the buyer's requests, and submit those plans to the buyer for review.

The builder also provides in-house design services.

To tour the model homes, take Summerlin Parkway west to Anasazi Drive and turn left. Turn right at Banburry Cross Drive, proceed to Laurelglen Drive and turn left.

Christopher also has homes available at the Palisades and San Michelle neighborhoods, both of which are in the final phase of sales.

Palisades is a guard-gated neighborhood that aligns the TPC at The Canyons golf course in The Canyons village in Summerlin. Five single- and two-story floor plans range from 3,758 to 6,200 square feet and are priced from the high $500,000s. Home sites measure from one-quarter acre to one-half acre. To visit, take Summerlin Parkway west to Town Center Drive, turn left and proceed to Hualapai Way.

San Michelle can be reached by taking Summerlin Parkway to Rampart Boulevard, going south to Alta Drive and heading west to the guard-gated entrance of Queensridge North. The single- and two-story residences measure from 3,751 to 4,689 square feet and are priced from the high $500,000s. The neighborhood, adjacent to the Badlands Golf Club, offers golf course home sites with city and mountain views.

All sales offices are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Christopher Homes was established in Las Vegas in 1982.
