Rolladen expands into Mesquite
Rolladen Rolling Shutters recently announced it is expanding operations to Mesquite, which is about 70 miles northeast of Las Vegas near the Utah border. The company, which already operates in Laughlin, Salt Lake City, Southern Utah and Sedona, Ariz., has joined with Mesquite businessman Craig Warren to bring the window covering product to that city. "Craig came to us, and was familiar with Rolladen, because his mother had them on her home in Las Vegas," Las Vegas franchise founder Fran Minnozzi said. "He is a big believer in Rolladen since he's seen how beneficial they were to his mother. He also added them to his own home in Mesquite." Rolladen Rolling Shutters are roll-filled aluminum slats that cover doors, windows and even doggie doors. They may reduce power consumption, provide a security barrier, and block out sunlight. In the Las Vegas area, Minnozzi said the shutters have become more popular as power rates have increased. In Mesquite, the shutters also serve the purpose of protecting homes while the owner is away. "Mesquite is ... very, very hot during the summer," Minnozzi said. "So the Rolladens are the perfect addition to the homes and residences there. With so many people leaving the area in the summertime, the security factor of Rolladens becomes an even bigger reason to have them." Warren has lived in Mesquite for five years, and owns a 6,000-square-foot home with rolling shutters. "I recently put them on my home, so I didn't have to be sold on them," he said. "They are a great product and we're really going to push them here. People leave their homes for extended periods of time in Mesquite during the summer." Rolladen Rolling Shutters' Las Vegas location is at 6168 W. Charleston Blvd. The showroom is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and by appointment on Saturdays.
