Three additional floor plans by Richmond American Homes have been added to the existing 17 home designs available at Ladera, the first neighborhood to take shape in Summerlin's The Mesa Village.

Combined, the floor plans range in size from 1,642 to 2,804 square feet.
Richmond's newest models are named after famous Italian cities.
The 2,400-square-foot Rome features up to six bedrooms and three baths. The Venice, a 1,950-square-foot home, includes up to five bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The Florence provides for up to four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in 1,750 square feet.
Additional bedrooms and loft areas are options on all plans.
A three-car garage is an available option on the Rome and Venice models. Home prices start in the mid-$300,000s.
The neighborhood nestled against the Spring Mountains south of Tropicana Avenue and west of Hualapai Way has more than 600 homes. It features a park with children's playground and neighborhood pool.
The Mesa Village is a 500-acre desert contemporary village. Other development underway in the area is a 19-acre community park that will feature tennis courts, three Little League baseball fields (one with stadium-style seating), basketball court, tot lot, playground and covered picnic ramadas.
Wilbur & Theresa Faiss Middle School and Bishop Gorman High School are scheduled to open this fall.
"Significant development progress is planned for The Mesa Village in 2007," said Peggy Chandler, senior vice president of community development for The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties and developer of Summerlin. "Hundreds of homes will be built, another major community park will be added to Summerlin's list of 100-plus parks, and two new schools will open. Located in the southernmost region of Summerlin, The Mesa is conveniently located close to the 215 beltway with all the benefits of a Summerlin address."
