Residents at Mountain Falls can utilize organized fitness and recreational activities offered by the social and recreation facility located at the center of the 1,050-acre, master-planned community.
Located 45 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip, the William Lyon Homes-built community, offers such classes as ballroom dancing, tai chi, karate and arts & crafts for residents at a nominal fee in the facility's multi-purpose room.

"We're trying several different programs to gauge interest levels," resident facility manager Josh Gaston said. "We expect our numbers to increase incrementally as more and more families move into their new homes at Mountain Falls."
Feedback from homeowners will shape the spring and summer activity calendars. At the moment, Gaston said he's anticipating the upcoming family movie night.
"This will be the first of what we expect to be many," he said. "Residents tell us they moved to Mountain Falls for the sense of togetherness it offers." In addition to group activities, the facility offers a fully-equipped fitness center with treadmills, elliptical machines, Stairmasters and recumbent exercise bikes, plus free weights and weight-strength machines. The facility includes locker rooms and a residents lounge with a pool table.
Outdoor highlights include a family pool, adult pool, spa and interactive water-play area. According to Gaston, he and his staff will soon ready the pools for the swim season.
"We're really unique in that we operate our pools from April through October. The typical municipal pool season is Memorial Day to Labor Day," Gaston said. "It's just another way we cater to residents."
Mountain Falls Grill Room is located within the adjacent clubhouse. The banquet rooms can accommodate up to 300 guests. The grill and banquet area are open to the public.
The developer's single-story communities of Cascata Ancora, Tramonto and Bella Sera at Mountain Falls are priced from the low $200,000s. Classic Homes, Desert Wind Homes and Celebrate Homes will debut communities shortly.
Upon completion, Mountain Falls will include a number of neighborhood mini-parks and a 4-mile walking trail.
Homeowner association fees are less than $50 per month.
The Mountain Falls Information Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
